Cresting a small hill I looked up and was struck by how divergent the color temperatures were of the trees in the foreground to the ones in the background. The background being lit from the open sky and the foreground being illuminated from light reflecting off the foilage in front of it with some direct backlighting sprinkled in for some subtle added contrast.
The first image I shot with my iPhone was sharp as could be expected but didn't convey what I was seeing. Be tilting my phone slowly as I pressed the shutter button I could leave out the distracting details while leaving in full view the essence of what caught my eye.
